A very useful list of points to consider when writing a text for translation can be found here (35KB pdf).
Project Management
Each new translation is assigned a project manager who ensures the job runs smoothly and on time. If the text is to be translated into more than one language, all translators will be given the same brief to ensure consistency between languages. The project manager is in constant contact with the translator to monitor progress.
Quality control
All our translators are professional, qualified, experienced linguists who only translate into their mother tongue. Once they have translated the text and proofed it themselves, it is then proofed again by a second, independent linguist. The formatting and layout are double checked in-house. If the text is being translated into more than one language, consistency between languages is also checked.
Format
All translations are delivered in Microsoft Word or Excel, unless typesetting is required. For non-latin script languages translations are supplied in pdf.
